    Hi Greg, Thanks for your reply. I only had the rigors on the Saturday night, Sunday morning (in hospital) and Sunday evening (in hospital). I did have a fever and I was put on anti-biotics for 5 days. I was released on the Tuesday morning and have had no issues since.

    Hi Mike, I had an RC last October and it took a long time for my bowels to get moving again. I had an NG tube (through the nose) to suction off the top end of the stomach for a few weeks. My Urologist said that my bowels would get moving eventually and it was just a waiting game. I was supposed to be in hospital for 7-10 days, but I ended up being in there for 2-1/2 months. I should add that they discovered a hernia after two weeks (another operation) and an absess which required anti-biotics and a JP drain. Give the bowels time, which could be weeks, to get back to normal.
