I have not had my treatment yet, but read a little about it. Just wondering if my fears of being infected with TB are justified.

Back in 2006 when I stated BCG treatments I also had some fears about being infected. My Urologist took the time and explained how the BCG would be instilled only in the bladder and the chances of it getting into the bloodstream were exceptionally low. He said that in all his years of practice he has never had a patient been infected. I had 30 BCG treatments over a 3 year period without getting a TB infection.
All the best, and good luck with your treatments,
    Jack

    Hello Lemongirl

Remember: even though BCG is live, it is muted. I have now had 21 treatments. Know of someone that has had over 50 treatments. No TB.

Also, in a twisted, worst case scenario way, even if one gets TB, it can be cured (antibiotics).

    Take care
