“Things happen in threes” was one of my mom’s sayings. This has proven to be an expensive week. My microwave and vacuum decided to die at the same time. I replaced them a couple of days ago. I got lucky and found them on sale at the mall near my house. At least I thought I was lucky. I was trying out the vacuum this afternoon. I’ve never had one with such strong suction before. I tried out the attachment to vacuum the stairs. I had it on the wrong setting and the brushes spinning in the main part of the vacuum chewed a hole in my carpet as I had the main part resting on the stair while I was vacuuming the one above it. Now I have to replace the carpet!!! I do have scrap carpet left over and will try to repair it first but yikes!!! All before Christmas.
I had to take it back. My son tried to use it and it emitted a burning smell. I think it must be a relic from the Little shop of Horrors movie or something. My only name for that thing was “The Beast”. I exchanged it for a small canister style vacuum and am definitely able to control the suction. That vacuum could probably have been used by the City of Calgary for the spring street cleanup that’s for sure.
