I agree that your divorce settlement was a travesty of justice on par with the sack of Troy, that your last boss was abusive, and that you shouldn’t have calmed yourself with so many appletinis prior to testifying before Congress. I do not agree that worrying about it now will do any good.

The word worry comes from the Old English wyrgan, meaning “to strangle.” When we fixate on something in the past, we grab our own histories by the throat, cutting off the flow of physical and emotional energy that keeps us fully alive. To start the flow again, look forward. Think how you can apply what you’ve learned. Let your divorce teach you to negotiate assertively, your horrible boss help you spot and avoid other creeps. Let the debacle at Congress send you to a 12-step meeting. Embracing the lesson always loosens the stranglehold of worry.

I don’t think my testimony before congress had much to do with it, I was never divorced and I was almost always my own boss. Jeanne, you have be worried. Worry is your favorite past time, which I guess is the point you’re trying to make so I think I should just delete what I just wrote. On second thought, I still worry about being attacked by chickens. I see them flying over my bed at night and I sleep in a tunnel in the ground so that’s really weird. This whole thing is weird. I need Greg. Where is Greg? Well maybe Marysue can help me with this.

I’m very worried that I have stopped worrying. Am I ok? It may be a sign of senility?

Anyhooo… HOw can chickens fly over your bed in a tunnel? There isn’t room! YOu must have been hallucinating. Too much tequila or someone maybe Jeanne spiked it in some way maybe with her chili sauce. I also thought that chickens don’t truly fly only flutter?

I still think that they are after your money which is why they go around saying “Buck, buck buck!”

Greg has been awol for awhile maybe out chicken hunting.

As for Jeanne and her worrying… she is our site mascot and does the worrying for us all. She deserves a medal.

Well Jeanne, you can worry about me if you want to since I’m not going to worry about me. My stalker is now threatening to kill me and he’s getting pretty vicious. I guess I’m on his hit list. But he is scared to death of me so he won’t come near me, unfortunately. I want to have a face to face chat with him. Now, can you please worry about that for me? Thanks.
