Hi Folks. Having chest, abdomen and pelvis SCAN today and I am scared. The cancer was contained in the bladder and my lymph nodes are clear. Good sign?

Fear of the unknown is normal especially dealing with cancer. Hang in there. Fingers crossed and saying prayers for good results. Good news on the bladder and lymph node front hopefully means this is just your doc being thorough. Let us know how it turns out. ((((((HUGS))))))

Thank you everyone. Feels good to know I have good thoughts and prayers out there. Went to an ostomy group on Sunday and met other wonderful people. Only one other urostomy person and she is going to visit me.

Val, you’ve done all the right things. Meeting others coping with the same is a good way to give support and be supported. As the saying goes “It takes one to know one.”

Thanks marysue. Got through the scans. Two hours for blood work and scans. But lots of people in the waiting room.

    Hi Val:

Glad to know that you got through the scans okay. Those places can get real busy as some are handling many kinds of cases, not just bladder cancer. Fingers crossed and saying prayers for good results. (((((HUGS)))))

Thank you marysue. Now I have to get an angiogram because my heart muscle is weak. I suspect it’s from the blood infection folllowing surgery. I sure didn’t have that before the surgery. So sick of being sick.

Val, I hear you on the “sick of being sick”. Noone in their right mind enjoys being sick. We all want to be going about our daily routine and living our lives. Best wishes on the angiogram. My mom and hubby both had to have one. Not easy but was effective in finding out the problem each time. Let us know how it goes. (((((HUGS))))

Thanks marysue. I suspect my heart muscle weakness is as a result of the blood infection. Sure was fine before the surgery.

Just got back from my family doctor about my sciatica. She read the results of my scans from Jan 27 and there is a 1 centimeter tumor where my left ovary would have been, and another one I believe on bladder wall. I see cancer doctor tomorrow and I am scared to death. It was an abdominal scan. I also had a scan of my back because of siatica and there was nothing remarkable about it. I wonder if the tumor is pressing on sciatic nerve. Any comforting words.

Vals glad you at least heard of some results from your scan. Hope all goes well today when you see the oncologist. Know that you are in our thoughts and are holding your hand as you travel this difficult scary journey. I hope the doc has some answers for you today. Update us when you can.

My pelvis scan showed a one centemeter tumor pressing against the sciatic nerve. Causes me much pain and numbness. Supposed to start radiation to shrink it. Hope it works. Went for bone scan this week. Hope that is clear. Terrified.

Thank you Millize. I didn’t bring my glasses to the computer. Forgive mistakes. I will try tio one step at a time. My leg is frozen because of the sciatic nerve. Went to the store yesterday and fell in the parking lot because I can’t feel my left foot. I may go to a retirement home for a while until they treat my leg. Thanks everyone
