Morning Everyone and a very happy Friday to all!

Thought I would post the latest results of my TURBT which was done on Feb 9th. Just met with my surgeon who advised that it was indeed a papillary bladder tumor. Fortunately they were able to remove it (only one visible) and his indication was that it was quite superficial. The pathology confirmed it to be a non-invasive urothelial carcinoma, and low-grade. As a result, he doesn’t feel the BCG treatments are necessary at this time. Knowing the high rate of recurrence, I am back for a followup scope in June. He indicated as well that should there be something appearing then, and quite likely low grade, he could deal with it in the clinic rather than having to go through the TURBT surgery.

All that said, I am so pleased with these results and wanted to express my heartfelt thanks to everyone of you for your help during this process which started back in November. I am so thankful to have found this website to educate myself on this demon. So, I am marching ahead with a positive attitude and want you all to know how much you mean to me.
    Thank you again

That is great news Ruth. Being placed on bladder watch/surveilance is common to all. I received BCG because of the presence of CIS (the first time) along with the low grade which is high risk situtation and was placed on 3 month follow-ups…I also had 2 recurrences…now on 6 month follow up. I’ve been cancer free for nearly 4 years. Yes, this is a great site, it helped me a lot when I was going through a bad patch at the outset.

    All the best…God Bless.

Hi Ruth. Low grade non-invasive is the best diagnosis one can hope for if you have been inflicted with BCC. Not happy you are here….but happy you have discovered it and it is highly treatable. You like many of use will be in a long term relationship with your URO. Please make sure you go to all of your cysto’s. Welcome to the BCC family.

    Hello Ruth,

A diagnosis of a single non-invasive (sounds like Ta), Low Grade (i.e. LG) is the best BC situation one can have.
    Very positive news indeed.
Many of us on this forum have had similar diagnosis’.
Among us, what tends to vary slightly is the treatment. That depends on each situation and the opinion of the medical team.
I wish you all the best going forward. We are here for you!

    God Bless
