Never thought that I’d read a detailed report about the latest in cancer research in Popular Mechanics, but here it is. Covers in relatively easy to understand topics such as “T” cells and how immunotherapy works. Data comes from researchers and cancer centers across the US. Very good graphics.

“The men and women who are trying to bring down cancer are starting to join forces rather than work alone. Together, they are winning a few of the battles against the world’s fiercest disease. For this unprecedented special report, we visited elite cancer research centers around the country to find out where we are in the war. ”

    Hi Gerry:

I never thought that I’d see the day either, not that I read that magazine. Thanks for sharing. It was a thought provoking read.

I came across a book at Wellspring Calgary a couple of years ago, and now have a copy of it. It is called “The Emperor of All Maladies – A Biography of Cancer” by Siddhartha Mukherjee. He is a cancer physician and researcher. It is quite a sizable tome and what I would call heavy reading. I have only skimmed its contents but it seems to have quite the background on cancer.

Reading this article reminded me of the book. Thanks again. ((((HUGS))))
