Well, I had my first follow up cystoscope and it was all clear. I was 100% ready to go in there and him tell me there was another Tumor but nope. I was shocked! After a full 5 days of peeing blood, just a week before. I am kinda worried now as to why I was bleeding again. . I think my uro is stumped too! He’s booking me for a CT scan to check my kidneys. Anyone else ever have a scare like I did last week??

    Hi GM:

Well, at least the news was good in that bladder cancer isn’t present but yes it is a puzzle as to where exactly the blood is coming from. I second the idea that your uro is ordering a CT scan to check your kidneys. Hopefully it turns out to be no more than a bit of an infection. Is it possible that you could have kidney stones?

Thanks Marysue! It was a relief for sure but then I had to stop and think that something still isn’t right. Blood is coming from somewhere.
I have been woken up a few times with extremely sore back pain. It goes away after a couple hours. It could be stones. At this point, I hope that’s what it is!
This is a never ending journey I’m starting to think.

    Hi GM:

I think since you’ve had really bad back pain it is a definite possibility. Have you mentioned the back pain to your uro? The kidneys are located about half way up your back. The pain is caused by the suckers trying to move somewhere and back pain accompanied by blood in the urine is a symptom of kidney stones. They often have little hooks on them and that is what causes the pain. They should show up in the CT scan if they are there. Did your uro order a CT with contrast? Sometimes it takes the contrast to show up what is going on in the urinary tract. Kidney stones are a pain literally but at least it’s not cancer. Good luck with the CT and let us know how it goes. (((((HUGS)))))
