    Hello All…
I recently had my bladder and prostate surgically removed and have been at home for 4 weeks now.
I am experiencing nausea and find eating difficult.
Have any of you experienced this; and if so do you have any recommendations on dealing with it??
Thank you in advance for your comments.
    Sam

    Hi Sam:

Welcome to our site although you probably wish that you didn’t have to belong. I haven’t had to go down the surgical route with BC but I would like to ask have you talked to your doctor about the ongoing nausea? Could it be a side effect from some post op meds? Even if not, I would speak to your doc anyhow to make sure that you are recovering properly from the surgery and that some kind of infection isn’t present that is causing you grief. There are anti-nausea meds available but you would need a prescription for them. More natural means include ginger tea, peppermint tea…eating lightly on dry foods like toast, crackers, soups, flat gingerale…Just some thoughts…(((((HUGS)))))

I am going to see my doctor tomorrow, Tuesday. I have heard that this quite normal after majory surgery, but it has been four weeks now.
    Concerned, Sam

I second what magnum has said. Don’t hold anything back from the doc. He needs to know everything in order to be able to figure things out to help you. Best of luck today. ((((HUGS))))
