the news just keeps on getting worse in my family. First we had Mike and his horrible diagnosis and this week, my sister Sue was diagnosed with inoperable lung cancer which has already gone into the lymph nodes. The worst part…her and her husband adopted 3 children about 6 years ago and from what the docs are saying, the prognosis is not very good.

They are quite literally hopping on plane to Disney with the kids (ages 7-10) this week. Man, you’ve got to wonder sometimes. Why does such a horrible fate await such wonderful people?

They also live in Victoria so not nice and close for us to zip over and support.

Mike has made a pact with Sue though….he told her she is not allowed to die before him and he plans on being around until he is 82 he told me this week. 🙂

    Just venting…sorry 🙁

Good for them to be hopping on a plane with the kids.

So sad to hear the news, but thrilled if they can choose to live every day in spite of it! You too.

    Blessings to you all.

Vent all you want Monique. Sorry to hear of all the calamity that has hit your family. You’re right. Bad things do happen to good people and it is hard to fathom the “why”. I wish that I had an answer for that. I’m glad to know that they are seizing the day and doing something fun and trying to make the best of a very difficult situation. You’re in my prayers. (((((BIG HUGS))))))

What would I do without you guys and all your support. I love Bladder Cancer Canada. My one stop shop for venting and a few shoulders to cry/lean on.

    Thanks Gang.

Hey Monique – Malcolm and I have been away for a few weeks, and I am just catching up with posts.

Vent away!! We are here for you and each other!!

Great to read that Mike has made a pact with his sister and that she and her family are off in Disney…living each day to its fullest.

Monique, I am so sorry to hear that. I wish I had the answer as to why this happens and I wish I could take all of this suffering away from you and your family. But be sure I will keep you and your family in my most fervent prayers.

Thanks for all the prayers. You are all my little glimmer of hope and my place to come to where everyone GETS IT.

Kiowa, are we at the point of requiring tequila yet?? Just checking.
