Are there any males that could comment on their experience with an Indiana Pouch.

My husbands choices are an ileal conduit or an Indiana Pouch.

The surgery will take place between 2 weeks and 30 days, just waiting a date.

    thanks

Is there a difference between indiana pouch for males and females? The stoma is in the belly. It looks better in the navel. I know a person who has it in the navel. She is happy with it. (Cynthia at http://bladdercancersupport.org/).

Frankly I think the texas pouch is light years ahead of the Indiana pouch but that’s up to you. Well, just kidding. But I am a texan so what can I say? I don;t have a diversion so I can;t comment on them other than what I have ready about, seen and information from others. Of the three types it’s a highly individualized decision. I do want to wish you well though which is the real reason I replied. Welcome and good luck to you. Which ever method you choose it will be better than having cancer.

Kiowa (but check into the texas pouch)
