Path report of my recent TURBT of the urethra showed high grade tumours (so also with all the previous ones – no surprises there). CT urogram this morning should show how invasive or non-invasive. Additional scope in a month should show my best side! Then I’ll know what the next step is. Until then, ignorance is bliss.

Could have been better. Could have been worse. It is what it is. That’s a lot like life in general, isn’t it. Enjoy each day – yesterday’s gone, tomorrow is supposed to rain/snow/sleet/hail/ice pellets/freezing rain. Sounds like a bathroom break to me.

    Happy shopping.

I was definitely wondering. I wish it had been better news but I am anxious to see your good side. I don;t believe I have even seen it. Only saw your backside.

    Greg,

“it is what is it”…I wonder how many times we have all used that phrase?

In your case, I am hoping it “isn’t what it is”.

Since the very first day that you and I spoke on the phone, you helped ease my fears as well as Mike’s with your kindness and levity. You have always been there for us and so, you can count on us being there for you. I will be here on earth for you and Mike will be watching over you I am sure. Hmmm…wonder if that means he sees your backside too? I swear, I’ve never seen your backside. Is there a YouTube video??

All kidding aside, I am hopeful that all will be OK for you.

Keep us in the loop please.

My turn to give you a hug or six….(((((())))))

Greg, I don’t think you have a clue (well, perhaps) as to how much you have helped us. You have given us gentle reality along with love, true meaning of life, and love. And You have given us, especially me, the courage to face things positively and go on. You are one of the most unselfish person I know. As with everyone else, I too am here for you. It pains me to say nice things about you, but it hurts me more to see you have to go through this. But, we know you, and you will get through this and in that process help us get through the tough times, maybe even help Jack have reasonably good golf game now and again. My prayers are with you my friend, always.

Greg. It is what it is and you are who you are. We sure don’t like the first part of that sentence, but we sure do love the second part – you! Thanks for keeping us in the loop as I am sure all of us were wondering! Praying for you as you go thru the next few weeks waiting for further results and next steps. You have been such an encouragement and source of support for so many on this site, I hope we can be that for you as well. Wishing you a restful, relaxing and reflective Christmas together with your family.

    Hi Greg,
You have been on my mind lately, so thank you for the update. I am sorry the news was not better, but as you said, it could be worse. In fact whenever I have started to feel sorry for myself in the past 2.5 years, I have heard your voice reminding me that it can always be worse. One of the first posts I read of yours was the one in which you told us about your good friend who had a terrible accident while cutting down a tree.
You have a loving family at home and another one here on this site. Even if you had neither of those, you have God on your side. But since you have all three of these powerful forces on your side to give you strength, comfort, laughter and help whenever you need it I know you will weather this storm. Take care my good friend.
