I miss you guys! – Gone but not forgotten…I hope :)

Hi my BCC family,

I just wanted to let you all know that just because I am not here constantly as I was in the past, I still peruse the posts often and I really miss you all.

Today is 8 months since Mike passed away from his rare plasmacytoid variant of bladder cancer. I cannot fully express quite how difficult the grieving process has been for me but I can tell you that I am learning just how tough it is to live without the love of your life. At times it feels like it just happened and at other times, it feels as though he has been gone for an eternity.

I have told one of our BCC family members that I don’t want to be the “whiny widow” on the board so that is why I am not posting much.

However, if anyone should ever any info from me, I would certainly hope that you would not hesitate to ask in a private message.

I hope for ALL CLEARS for each and every one of you and STRENGTH to all the caregivers in the group.

Hi Monique:

You’ve been a brave trooper through a very difficult time. Post as you feel able. Even though the caregiving is over, you still need support. I suggest you stick with the caregiver support for a bit. Glad to know I’ll never be forgotten and yes, Jack, you can rest assured that I will never forget you guys either.

I WILL get to a point where I can volunteer…just not quite there yet. Still get easily overwhelmed with life. One day at a time.

No way would you be a whiny widow. It is one of the times in life we all dread. And I know you will get through it.
I am so glad to hear from you. My bladder cancer is still gone,hubby’s prostate will never be gone, but is in remission.
Take all the time you need, but know that your dear hubby would want you to enjoy the rest of your life , He loved you .
As you would have wanted for him if things were reversed.
Don’t know if that helps, but I hope so.
