    Jeanne:
Doing great. Enjoying a cold but not too snowy winter – yet. Moving my office closer to home and sharing with a colleague.
I also have lost weight; nothing fits anymore so I run around naked. Many warrants out for my arrest, but they can’t catch me – it’s too cold! Glad we don’t believe in carrying guns in Canada!

Hello All…Hello 2015. Greg, your great humor makes the day for me. No doubt the fast movement is a training strategy for the BCC September Dash (walk).

All is fine at this end…Rhonda and I are spending sometime in warmer climate right now and getting the chance to play a few rounds of golf.

True Story: I am standing, looking lost I’m sure, in the middle of heavy people-traffic at Orlando Inter’l. You know how the feeling comes over you when you feel someone is watching you….well, it happend to me and when I turned there was this awesome smile from an elderly clergyman who was crippled and perhaps had served alongside fellow soliders at one time. He asked “How can I help you my son”? “Well, Father” I said, “I’m getting a bit familar with the airport as I will be flying in and out a few times in the future.” He chuckled and shared a short story about his first visit here and then proceeded to explain the parking, flight gates, etc. I thanked him with a warm hand shake. Then there’s that Great Smile again as he said “God Bless You My Son”…”Thank-you Father those are the best words ever”, I said, as he turned and walked away towards another traveller.

So from the wonderful clergyman at Orlando Inter’l through me…May God Bless You All !!!

    Have a wonderful day y’all…

    Rick

Glad to know you’re okay Greg and Jeanne. I’m well too. Just busy with some work stuff, family stuff, volunteer stuff. No medical stuff for awhile – yay! Just praying for new jobs for my hubby and youngest son. Hubby lost his job as a result of falling oil prices. Youngest is just inexperienced and folks want experience but how do you get it if people don’t hire you.

Anybody know how Kiowa is? We haven’t heard from him in a while either?

Passed the first anniversary of my RC and neobladder on December 20. Checkups have been good so far. Feeling good and keeping weight down… had to buy new clothes! Unfortunately, I raised a good inguinal hernia while putting in a perennial garden last spring and just had surgery to fix it at the Shouldice Hospital. Great place… kind of like a resort. The good part was that the surgery was a walk in the park compared to the RC!

I’m feeling pretty good! Had my 6 month Cysto on the 15th and all clear. One more 6 month then its yearly. Other than that I’m hibernating for the season. I must have been a bear in another life. I don’t know why it isn’t socially acceptable to sleep from December 27th through to March 5th?

LOL! I’ve always said if there is reincarnation I’m coming back as a bear! I live in a cold place and as I get older the cold gets to me more. Good comment!

Still no snow , in the 50’s everyday. Lake Tahoe has no boat docks , water is too shallow. It is awful.
Might be a slow summer for tourists visiting….YAY lol

Yes indeeeed!! Congrats on the “all clear”, Eddie

Our winter weather has been strange too. November was cold and snowy, December was a combo of warm and cold. January has been mostly warm and will be exiting on a cold note as a cold front with some snow is expected this weekend. At least we didn’t get the hammering that they got in Boston.

However lack of snow is serious as it means a dry spring and risk of grass fires. I’m not a snow person since I don’t ski but some rain would be nice. Has it been a really dry winter Jeanne?

It’s been said dryest winter in more than 130 years. The Lake is scary , never seen it so low. We will be getting the car and truck set to evacuate , just in case
But it is not a comfort since we came too close last year to fires.

Not much we can do that’s for sure.

Nope. Just prepare to evacuate just in case and pray for rain/snow. I have an environmental area near me and just about every spring there are fires there. I haven’t needed to evacuate but we came close the spring of 1986. The neighbourhood next to ours was on evacuation alert. I was almost nine months pregnant with our second at the time. The fastest exit for me would have been a duck waddle. Thank goodness it wasn’t necessary.
