Unfortunately I found out my sister died last night after a tough fight with cancer. She was a great mom & grandmother and will be definitely missed. This is the second big sister I have lost in the last two years so it has made the time I was able to spend this last month with my brother that much more special. This morning with a sad heart I headed to hospital for my cystoscopy and unfortunately that didn’t turn out well either. Looks like I have a minimum of eight new tumours so will have to have another turbt probably in Sept. Definitely not looking forward to that. I’m not feeling very optimistic about the rest of the week – perhaps it’s time I grabbed my water bottle & head out to my garden and be cheered up by my flowers and all the baby birds in the yard. My flashy socks didn’t do the trick of lifting up my spirits today. 🙁

I just wanted to add my sincere sympathy on the loss of your sister. And for you to get that news about the recurrence of tumours is so disappointing. I well remember the letdown of hearing those words after my own cystoscopies. For both things to happen at once is very sad and hard to take.

To read that you don’t expect to have the turbt until September is a little alarming, though. Isn’t that a long time to wait?

Thanks everyone for your kind words. It’s certainly been a tough week balanced with lots of love and hugs. My doc is doing his best to get me in as soon as he can for turbt, however hospital wait times are a reality. I haven’t shown any bleeding yet but if I do I’m to contact him right away and he’ll do his best to get me in sooner. I’m definitely looking forward to this coming week with slightly more sunshine in it.
