Arn’s bladder
ParticipantBest news ever ! Cured of bladder cancer … and prostate cancer. The pathology report showed he also had an aggressive form of prostate cancer. OMG. It didn’t show up on the CT scans, or the Ultrasounds, and he always had normal PSA tests.
Double reason to be happy ! Follow-up appt. in 6 months.Best wishes to everyone going through procedures now … stay positive !

ParticipantWowsers! What awsome news! Triple good news! Cancer free x2, Plus the catheters came out too! So happy for you both. This news will give a whole new oomph on the road to full recovery. As they say, bladder gone, cancer gone! All the best as Arn starts to train his neobladder. If you have any questions or need any encouragement, just send a note!

ParticipantI know Gord – can’t quite believe it ourselves. What a spectacular day ! Now on to training the Neobladder, self-catheterisation and getting more supplies etc. Arn doesn’t mind wearing the new ‘underwear’. He can do more walking comfortably too. Will learn to deal with incontinence. Thank you for your ongoing support – it helps a lot !

ParticipantThank you SJay ! Been so worried for so long, it feels weird, almost afraid to be happy. Today, Arn is cancer free, must learn to live in the present and get rid of the ‘what if’s’ ! Hope everyone receives wonderful news too …

KeymasterHi Kory
I was not that active on your posts but having been following Arn’s progress. Not having experienced what you and Arn have gone through makes it difficult to contribute to your questions. I am so happy to hear that Arn is now cancer free and going home for recovery. Thanks to the many experienced survivors on the forum that have contributed and helped you both on this journey. I am sure you both will have many more questions and I am sure the faithful survivors here will be able to assist you. A special thank to Ieva for being here for you.
All the best and give Arn a big hug for me!

ParticipantHi Kory, so glad to read your good news about Arn. I can tell that you are so relieved and can now breathe easier, so now its’ upward and onward and I’m sure the obstacles you and Arn still need to deal with will become common place once he gets things worked out. All the best going forward.
Take care to both of you.

ParticipantHi Jack,
You helped us a lot by suggesting a 2nd opinion before agreeing to a RC, asking questions on the forum, and contacting Ieva. I was so wrapped up in Arn’s case, that I didn’t thank all of the many experienced survivors who gave us information and the courage to carry on. THANK YOU everyone ! And I expect we will have more questions. Ieva has been an ongoing source of information for me, she is truly amazing, and keeps me sane. Now on to the next set of obstacles to overcome! Self-cath & incontinence. The journey never ends, it just changes !Thank you again,
