Hi Everyone:
We are moving into fall. The trees are showing their glorious colours and saying goodbye to summer. Hopefully this will bring about an end to the horrific fire season that our country experienced this year.
<p style=”text-align: left;”>As our seasons change, our journey with bladder cancer changes too. Sometimes it is due to something unexpected like a severe reaction to BCG treatments, post op infections, UTIs, an unexpected twist to the proposed treatment plan. Sometimes a new step in the journey begins, sometimes a part of the journey ends. If there is one thing that I’ve learned in my 15 year journey with bladder cancer is that it is never boring and you must be prepared for the unexpected. So, just as we help those that are new to a bladder cancer diagnosis, please keep in your thoughts and prayers those that experience the unexpected even though they may be old hats at dealing with bladder cancer. The need for personal support never ends. I speak from personal experience. It is almost one year ago that I had my third TURBT to deal with a recurrence after a 12 year hiatus. I received a wonderful and huge outpouring of well wishes and support for which I’m so thankful and grateful.</p>
Now, I pass those wishes and positive thoughts on to those that need it. Be well all. Here’s to hoping for lots of all clears and good results. ((((HUGS))))
