    Hi Everyone:

It’s hard to believe that we are in the final quarter of 2016 – where did the year go? We have Thanksgiving this month. Despite a lot of things, including all the challenges with bladder cancer… let’s all try to be grateful for a least one thing in our lives. I’m grateful that we live in a country where medical treatments are readily available. How many of us, wouldn’t be here if we weren’t already living in this country? Nothing medical for me this month….how is everyone else?

Just returned from Brisbane’s Mater Hospital where I had my latest Cystoscopy and was given “The All Clear” which was great news, appointment to see the local Urology Dr on the 28-10-16 then another 3 maintenance BCG’s in November and another Cysto December/January. Not sure how I feel as the main Mater specialist warned me to celebrate but have in your mind it will be back, oh well live life for the moment. Hope everyone having treatment this month goes equally well.
Love & Best Wishes to all.

    Hi everyone,

I had my every-six-months CT scan and blood work at Sunnybrook yesterday. Results are due October 17. This will be just short of three years since my RC and neobladder and, so far, cancer free!

I wish everyone the best of results.

    Cheers,
    Stephen

Hi everyone, I’m waiting for an apt. for a TURBT any day. When I had a cysto the first of Sept. my urologist said he would get me in within a month and I haven’t heard anything as yet. I’ll be putting in a call to his office pretty soon if they don’t call me.

Good luck to everyone having stuff done this month. Those waiting for results of tests, etc. I hope all turns out good for you.

About a month is right…. my timing was
    May 4/15 – Met Uro
    Jun 1/15 – Cysto. Detected T2b tumors.
    Jul 3/15 – TURP/TURB
    Aug 17/15 – Start of 3mo Chemo
    Jan 12/16 – RC

I found our healthcare system quite efficient once a diagnosis was made. BCC is a very good resource for personal support and patient guides.

Thanks GerryW. I hope I hear pretty soon, not that I look forward to these surgeries for sure, but once I know that tumor is in there, if its’ possible to get it out, I want it out. I have enough to worry about with the other cancers I have floating around in my body.

Good luck with your ongoing journey and thanks for your reply.

    Hi everyone.

Received my fourth “all clear” this morning! I feel very blessed as I just past my 1st anniversary since my last TURBT.

I want to thank you all for your continued thoughts and prayers as I continue this journey.

I send out my prayers to all that have tests or surgeries coming up.

Lorraine, I hope you receive a date for your TUR very soon.

    God Bless

Great news Marie! A full year of all clear. I hope it continues for you. Once I get a date, I’ll be sure to post it on here. Thanks Jack. I think passing the six week mark and no date as yet would warrant me making a call to my urologist. I try to keep in mind that these guys are really busy, but I’m also concerned that its’ been an oversight because they are so busy. I’ll try to be patient for awhile yet.

    Thank you Jack and Lorraine.

Lorraine, I think you should pick up the phone and call your urologist and confirm your date for surgery. I feel you have waited long enough and do not need this added stress.

God bless and keep us posted.
