Hi Everyone:
Spring is finally starting to arrive despite winter like weather in some parts of the country. The robins and other migratory birds are back in my hood and it is sure nice to hear them singing. Last week we had a Northern Flicker (type of woodpecker) doing its courting ritual on our rooftop. He decided that our metal chimney cover was a good place to drum his bill against to make a racket to accompany his vocalizations, foot stomping and wing flapping to try to get the attention of potential females. It made for good comedy. We didn’t notice any response to his efforts.
May is Bladder Cancer Canada awareness month and the attention needed for bladder cancer patients and their loved ones never goes away. Unlike the Northern Flicker doing his dance to get attention, many patients still don’t know where to turn to get help to deal with their diagnosis and get questions answered. For all those out there that are participating in Bladder Cancer Awareness this May, I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
As always, best wishes and good luck for those that have “stuff” this month. I’m on hiatus until the end of June. ((((HUGS))))
