    Hi Everyone:

    I hope that everyone is holding on through this COVID 19 crisis and not going too stirry. Spring is starting to finally arrive in Calgary.  I hope with the arrival of warmer weather it brings the hope of the pandemic finally coming to an end.  That being said, the battle that our brothers and sisters that are still fighting with bladder cancer may take longer to overcome and for some it seems like it will never end.  Let us join together as always in offering our positive thoughts and prayers to lift up and support them.  All the best this month to those that have “stuff”.  ((((HUGS))))

    I just got the results from my second Turbt to check for any remaining cancer in the outer lining.  All clear, now on to my first 6 weeks of BCG. Starting May 28.  I have been very lucky to have had my Turbt done during the peak of  covid 19 when so many other procedures were being postponed.They did not use a ventilator on me but opted too give me a spinal. Kind of awake, in twilight, very different. Longer in recovery, but not a bad way to go. There is also no delay in starting my BCG. I feel blessed to be able to stay on schedule.

    I had my scope today after 5 of 6 BCG treatments. I ended up on antibiotics so couldn’t have the last treatment. Scope was clear!!  I will start my 3 maintenance treatments in a couple of weeks. This was the best news news I’ve had in a year.

    Congrats to both of you.

    Good luck with the further BCG treatments.

    BCG= Bladder Cancer Gone
