ParticipantHi guys, yours truly just had a senior moment and totally forgot. Jack has just started it. Thanks everyone for forgiving me. I don’t have any procedures but have just got a wee bit more than I can handle at the moment. By the end of May life will regain some sense of sanity.
KKate is really concerned about her upcoming RC. Let’s all wish her well. Our prayers and thoughts are with you.

ParticipantHi! auntybevy and yogagal.. Best Wishes on the outcomes of your cystoscopies!
We all forget things marysue.. no need to forgive, it happens 🙂Thank you for your comment marysue, it is very much appreciated. Yes, the concern is there and deeply embedded.. Perhaps when the time is closer some will just disappear! or so I can hope!
Having the support of everyone here is truly a wonderful thing. Everything from ideas, suggestions, concerns, helpful information.. and on and on, have been a godsend! A wonderful family indeed!
HUGS for all!April 9, 2013 at 3:46 pm #15226elsie

ParticipantMayre I wish you the best with your upcoming surgery and hope all goes well for you and then you can be cancer free. Good luck to everyone else scheduled for procedures in May and hope to hear lots of “free and clears”. Nothing for me until June but I’ll be thinking of you all.

ParticipantMy thoughts and my most fervent prayers are with all of you. KKate, you’ll be OK, and cancer free. It’s a tough one but you will be fine. Have them put a tequila IV in before the surgery and another IV for chocolate and one more for some good strong coffee.

Best Wishes to all having procedures.. we will all fight this beast.. and win!

ParticipantMy RC – Neobladder is scheduled for May 13, 2013. After connecting with some of our members who have graciously shared their story and offer their ongoing support, I am ready for this next step. I have armed my home with many of the necessary items to be comfortable when I get home. The learning is good!
On a great recommendation, I had a very informative appointment at a Pelvic Health Clinic to assess my Pelvic Muscles and provide instruction for exercises. They also provided insight and materials to help managing post surgery pain – key ingredient – surround yourself with what makes you happy and lots of laughter.
This TED video on understanding pain made me laugh… http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=gwd-wLdIHjsMy toolbox of family, friends, BCC and BCC member support are the foundation for a successful recovery.
Thank you BCC – you have made this journey so much easier!

InactiveHi Gang,
Well the month of May is going to be a busy one for Mike so here is the schedule as it stands now. Probably a few more to add.
May 6 – CT abdo, pelvis, chest and head (he’s been having some dizziness so they just want to be sure). This is to get his baseline for chemo.
May 7 – MRI spine and hopefully pelvis to see what is causing him to be unable to lift his left leg without using his hands to physically move it at times. They think the tumour in his pelvis may be pressing on some nerves.
May 7 – Pain Management
May 10 – follow-up with Medical Oncologist.
May 13 – follow-up with Gastroenterologist
May 24 – follow-up with Radiation Oncologist (probably will change so we can attend the conference in Toronto)
May 31 – follow-up with Uro-Oncologist
Sound like enough??? Pretty soon, I am going to have my medical degree by osmosis I am sure.
Good luck to all having procedures…we will be with you in spirit.
Monique
