    Hi Everyone:

It is hard to believe that we are going to be into the second month of 2021 already.  Even though I don’t go far these days, the time seems to slip by. The USA swearing in of Joe Biden as president, Trump’s issues and the COVID 19 pandemic still dominate the news most days.

What we can’t forget about is that fact that many of our brothers and sisters are still fighting their battles with bladder cancer.  That just doesn’t go away when a new news headline happens.  Let us keep up our positive thoughts and prayers for them and for ourselves and for Bladder Cancer Canada as we all continue to move forward in this uncertain but hopefully better year.  Best Wishes to all who have “stuff” this month and to all that continue to lend their support to our fellow BC patients.  ((((HUGS))))

Good luck on the 8th Jack. I very politely call you my “canary” as my journey, except being high grade, has mimiced your early path.

I had a cystoscopy February 1st and we saw a suspicious patch of something. I’m waiting on the cytology to see if we go TURBT or BCG maintenance.

Again, good luck,  BCC needs you well,

    Peter

Just had my cystoscopy yesterday.  Bad news one largish growth in a carpet of smaller ones.  Two years since my original diagnosis of high grade invasive cancer (non muscular.)

My doctor (Dr. So) has been off sick for three months. The cystoscopy was done by a urology Fellow. I was told to dress and talk to the booking nurse.

    She told me that UNFORTUNATELY

Dr. Black only was given one OR day in March and that I would be booked for April.

Since it’s been 4 months since my last clear cystoscopy and now there’s a bunch of tumours I am really scared that waiting two months for surgery may truly affect my survival.
