Hi Everyone:
2014 is drawing to a close. What a year it has been. Lots of new diagnoses, people encountering big struggles. But there has been lots of good news too. I don’t have anything this month but send out prayers, positive thoughts and vibes to those that do. May we close out the year with lots of “all clears”! Don’t be afraid to post about your trials, tribulations and worries. That is what we are all here for.

JackNovember 24, 2014 at 4:44 pm #18377GordParticipantI have my 6 month pelvic/abdominal/chest CT scan on Dec 11, results on the 16th. I am two years out from my initial diagnosis, 18 months post RC with neo. Hoping for and expecting an all clear!

December 2, 2014 at 2:59 pm #18396sheltiesParticipantHi everyone, I’m having lung surgery on Dec. 11. My stuff did a 180 degree turn around. I was waiting for a surgery date for my bladder cancer and lo and behold, I had a PET scan and the cancer is back in my lung. (I had a lung re-section two years ago.) I don’t know what’s going to happen with the bladder surgery. I guess it will wait now until after Christmas once I recover from this lung surgery. I’m scared now that this bladder thing will spin out of control and spread beyond my bladder while I go through this other surgery. These cancers are not related. Go figure. I guess if one doesn’t get me, the other one will. I’ve been battling cancer now for the past 5 years, starting with my colon. (That hasn’t come back yet, but the lung and colon cancers are related, so who knows.) To look at me, you’d think I was the healthiest person on the planet. Even the anesthesiologists tell me I’m in perfect Health?? They pretty much know me by my first name now. I guess exciting this world with something like instant death from a stroke, or hear attack is not going to be an option for me. Any words of wisdom out there from anyone?

Congrats Rick, you are closing in on a milestone of being all clear for 2 years.
Wishing you all the best for 2015.
