    Hi All:

It has been very quiet on the forum lately.  I hope that means that everyone is enjoying the summer and getting a break from “stuff”.

August is usually another busy month for holidays.  For all of you taking off and going somewhere to visit family and friends, to try to beat the heat, fire smoke or just get away from it all for a bit, best wishes and stay safe while on the roads.  Enjoy the times with family and friends.  For those of us like myself who are making the most of a “staycation” find something enjoyable.  For me it is my gardening.  I made it a must this summer to read more gardening books and already I’m planning for 2025.  This year has been a challenge due to a cool spring, then a major water main break in Calgary that made it necessary to enforce very strict water restrictions, then hail, now heat.  All that being said, I learned how to save rainwater and even though watering is still being restricted, my garden is holding its own and I think it likes the rainwater better than the chlorinated city water.  Always something new to learn.  Anyhow, have a great rest of the summer.  ((((HUGS))))
