    Hi Everyone:

I’m posting this early since I’m leaving for vacation soon. Nothing for me, but I still want to send positive vibes and wish the best for those who have stuff this month. The summer is reaching the halfway point already. It’s been really hot here in the west, not to mention all the forest fires. I hope that it will cool down some and we get a bit of rain as well. Cheers, all.

You’re welcome. As you mentioned being really scared in the other post – been there, done that. That is why I now help others, to help lessen the fear and loneliness that I experienced. Best of luck on July 22!

Hi everyone, I’m having follow-up on my lung cancer this month, i.e. CT scan and apt. with lung surgeon on August 10th. Not doing anything with my BC this month as I just had stuff done in June. Its’ an ongoing journey. Marysue, I know the fires out your way are really serious. I have a brother living in Alberta and he keeps me up to date. As for heat, we here in the East are just starting to get some summer weather finally. It was really late coming this year. You have a great vacation. Lots of luck to everyone having stuff done and hopefully, things are not as bad as they might seem right now. Be sure to come back on here and let us know how it goes.

Thanks Lorraine. Yes, you’re correct, the fires have been serious but none are near me thankfully. We only have smoke in the city once in awhile but it is starting to become more of a thing because of all the fires in BC and now in Washington state. I think this year will be remember as the year of great fires. Good luck with you lung scans and stuff.

Bluebill, good luck with your next round of BCG.

Cystoscopy on Aug 17. It has now been 20 months since surgery removed 3 tumors and still getting all clears.

After this one and another in November (which will be 24 months since surgery), we may move from quarterly to semi-annually.

We did decide to not do maintenance treatments as I appeared to be recovering very well. My doc thought it was probably only 50/50 that it would help after the first year and looking clean inside.

    Hope we were right !!

    Hi everyone

6 weeks of BCG ending August 22.

With last surgery showing a high grade tumor, doctors decided to go back to 6 weeks of treatments.

Kind of messed up August for holidaying around the countryside but I can live with it. Feels like we are at the start line of a racetrack waiting for treatments to be over so we can get some holidaying in. Really looking forward to getting away for more than 4 days in a row!

Of course, by the time we can get away the really nice weather will be gone (running daytime highs of 30+) but, again, I can live with it. Snuggling under a nice blanket in front of a roaring campfire is still appealing. Either that or climb into the RV with the heater on and a hot cup of tea and the dog keeping my toes warm. I can live with it!

Hi everyone, well my follow-up with the CT and lung surgeon did not go well unfortunately. There are eight nodules in my lung which is not good. Two are fairly large and the other six are smaller. Here I go again. I guess I’ll be juggling apts. between the bladder cancer and the lung cancer now. I’ll keep you posted on what takes place from here on. Certainly not the news I was hoping to hear for sure.

Take care everyone and good luck with your procedures this month.

    Hello Lorraine

    So sorry to hear.

Have yourself a good cry. Just let it all out. Then you can focus on living.

Treasure every moment. Even the bad ones build character.

Then treasure those around you including the medical staff that you will be dealing with and remember, there are always people who are worse off.

Then fight. You are worth it.

hello everyone! I have been praying and sending positive vibes to all this month undergoing treatment or surgery. My quick story, 4 surgeries (total of 13 tumors removed) 12 BCGs and just had my first follow up since last BCG. The follow up was August 10th and unfortunately these little buggers keep coming back, three new regrowth. We are going to do removable without being put to sleep this time. Has anyone has them buzzed or removed this way? We also are taking a three mth break from treatments and using the waiting period to get a better idea of what it will look like at that time. I am kind of nervous about that! Any thoughts and/or feedback would be great!
    Much Love
    T
