OK, what gives? It’s about 9 degrees F this AM. And this is south Central Texas. this is weird. But I recall back in 78 or 79 that it was 10 degrees F for 20 days in a row. It’s not a new situation, just a rare event. But no snow. or ice.

    ha!

Minus 25 C here in Toronto this morning and that doesn’t include the windchill factor. This is what happens when you speak to Canadians Kiowa!

I knew I should not have said anything. But minus 25 as in minus, like under -0-???

    You have to be kidding?

And I was just about to start looking for a home in Toronto.

    Good Evening all
Winnipeg is and has been even colder than Toronto. It has been relentless since before Christmas. Thursday will feel like summer with -15 Celcius for a high. Just had to share that with everyone Brrrrrrr

Gee Ki, you must be suffering. Calgary has had a roller coaster of cold, warm and cold again since this whole thing started. I missed the worst of it (-45C) with wind chill while I was on vacation in the Bahamas in early December. Right now we are in a Chinook with temps around 0 C or 32 F. Winnipeg and eastern Canada have had it really brutal for the last month or so. But it is only early January so we will see a lot more nasty stuff before it is all said and done. Come to Canada Ki. It will be an experience you will never forget. You will learn how to love the cold! LOL!!

I’ll go to Canada but only if I can take my dogs, my guns and my truck. Wife optional.

We have Spring weather right now, In a definite drought situation in no snow this year. 45 -55 degrees everyday. Low teens at night.
This is goofy weather. I hope the bears don’t wake early, there is no vegetation at all yet. eeeek

I feel pretty good about it all…I’ve got the best of both. I live in Belleville (area), Ontario which for you deep south folks is about 60 miles east of Toronto. This year following my all clear in Dec, we decided to have an extended stay in south Florida. We left before the Polar Vortex hit Canada and are just below the rim of it where we are. Temps are in the mid 70F to low 80’s but we could do with a little less rain. Returning in March.

Goofy weather indeed…I spent time in the mid-west states and Texas over the past 8 years and glad I’m not there now. Retirement is starting to feel good!

Would you like me to send our next 7 day forecast or would you rather I send daily…just kidding…:) 🙂

Well the past week or so has been much better and more typical of winter here, mid 60’s-low 70’s. Sunny and nice. But we really did need all the rain we got and the cold did help suppress viruses and will help pop the vegetation kernals for a really nice colorful spring. We’ll have a few cold days here and there but spring is just a few weeks away for us. Almost moved to Maui! PS. I like diamonds, but NOT THAT MUCH!
