    Hi Kit

You and your mom have travelled a journey that many take many months to accomplish. Being so pro-active on your part will no doubt be the major factor in saving her life.
Tell your mom that she has all the BCC members in her corner and we all are cheering for her. Hopefully she can tolerate the treatments she will be cancer free in no time.
All the very best to you both,
    Jack

Thank you all for the tremedous love and support!!
My mom went for the bone scan today and will have an MRI next Monday – turns out they should both be done and results analysed before the treatments begin, so the RT+chemo is now delayed to start on Dec 11th.

With all the blood work and dye injection etc, my mom has bruises on both arms, this is heart breaking to look at. And this is only the beginning….

My mom and I went back to Sunnybrook for review and the pathology report came back clean!! Hurray!! That is priceless!! Thank you everyone for your care and support, we cannot make it without you!! My message here is definitely get a second opinion at your regional cancer centre before you make a decision.

We know the battle is ongoing but we thought we could take a longer break: my mom found blood again in her urine and the latest biopsy showed that cancer cells exist. We now decide to go for radical cystectomy with conduit as recommended by the urologist. There are still a few weeks for us to psychologically prepare ourselves. We will be seeing the nurse next Monday and hopefully she will clear up our questions in mind before the big day. By the way, if anyone is going for Indiana Pouch and is wondering how to catherize, here is a youtube video (the lady is truly brave and amazing and I 100% admire her) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2_hjP8Skw4w.
