Malcolm had his ultrasound, labwork and follow-up appointment today – all clear!
Next appointment and tests in 6 months.

A bit of history for those new to this site:
Malcolm had sudden onset of symptoms early in 2011….see red, he immediately went to the GP (He had never been ill or had any surgery in his life!) By April, he was diagnosed with a very aggressive bladder cancer and within a week, was scheduled for surgery = he has a neobladder. Nine weeks later, a series of 4 chemotherapy started. The type of cancer cells he had was adenocarcinoma.
Malcolm has permanent side effects from the surgery and chemotherapy…but as the glass is half full, he is with us. We had our 40th wedding anniversary earlier this year – now we shall celebrate!

Thank you for all of your support, as we experience this complex cancer journey and its impact on our lives.

Congrats on the anniversary and the good report! Just the kind of news we all hope for and celebrate with you! My 1 yr CT scan is coming up in June, and hoping for the same news!

Woohoo! Congrats Malcolm on the all clear…that’s what we all wanted to hear. You are right Ieva, it is a complex journey but you two seem to be navigating it well.

Congrats to both of you on 40 years…wow. I hate to tell you that you’ve been married almost as long as I have been alive. That’s gotta count for something. 🙂

    Celebrate!!!

Congratulations on both anniversaries – the 3 year and the 40 year!
I just had a 2 1/2 year CT Scan yesterday, waiting for results so can’t celebrate just yet, but I’m expecting the results to be another “all clear”.
These post diagnosis/treatment anniversaries are great to celebrate, for sure.
