    Hi all,

I’ve had a ROUGH year on my brand-new “Cancer Adventure”, but I managed to do the 2017 Awareness Walk last fall, and raised the largest amount for Waterloo Region both individually & with my team. For now,  I’m feeling quite well , and since it looks like I may have some previously UNDISCOVERED skills in fund-raising, I’d like to help more. I attended our region’s first planning meeting for the 2018 walk, and there were only about 5 people there, including Kerry. She was hoping for one of us to step up as Team Lead … I’d like to say I could do that, but since I “don’t even know what it is that I don’t know”, is there anyone in the forum that has taken that role? If so, can you make any suggestions, or offer any guidance? Since I’m a “Newbie” (both with having an illness AND with volunteering), I don’t want to seem like I think I’m better than anyone else, or offer to do this without knowing the best ways to help. Thanks for any input!

    Ron.
