I’m a veteran of 2 TURBTS. I was kept in overnight with cath in and it was removed at the ungodly hour of 5am prior to the day shift coming on. I had to be able to pee really good twice prior to discharge and was told to rest alternating with short walks as able. Also don’t lift heavy stuff for 4-6 weeks as the wounds in the bladder are open wounds and need time to heal over. Drink lots of water to keep your urine diluted. Hot baths helped with post surgery soreness as did Tylenol. Some recover sooner but I found it was 3-4 weeks before I felt back to normal. Seek your dr’s advice on when you are allowed to resume driving, lifting, housework, return to work and having sex. I used 6 weeks as a guide for the heavy stuff, took 3 weeks off work and returned on a reduced schedule for another 2. I do acupuncture on a regular basis and I believe that it speeded up the healing. If post surgery treatments are needed the dr or clinic will let you now. It will depend on the stage and grade of the tumours. Mine were high grade which means that they were more at risk for going invasive if they reoccurred. Immunotherapy aka BCG or chemo like Mitomycin C help prevent reoccurences. Best of luck. Let us know how it goes.
