I haven’t even heard of it or tried it but it makes way more sense. I do know that some people have gone for a type of colon flush I think it is called a colonic before a colonoscopy. Whether they did that in addition to the stuff you drink I don’t know. I haven’t yet consented to a colonoscopy because that is one of my concerns is the stuff you have to drink. I feel that the amount of diaherrra that it causes puts one at risk for dehydration and I worry about whether it stresses your kidneys out too. I in no way would say to someone to avoid having one if they feel it is in their best interest to do it. My hubby had a colonoscopy in 2003 and just had to take pills. I was scheduled for one and went for the group teaching but canned it because the date coincided with my second TURBT and I didn’t want to drink all that gallon of stuff either. I nearly fainted when I saw the size of the jug. My doc just recommended it as part of my 50+ check of stuff not because there was any real concern. I’ll wait for the water method if that is becoming the new way of doing things.
