I did 6 weeks of BCG after my first TURBT and again after my second and then the second time it was followed by 3 round of 3 weeks each ending this past January. I was TaG3 meaning noninvasive but high grade. If your cancer has been high grade most uros recommend BCG as a followup from a TURBT because it has a greater chance of going invasive on reoccurence than low grade. I have heard that 6 weeks of BCG is about 60% effective and if followed up with 1 year of maintenance (3 sets of 3 weeks at 3,6, 12 months after the original 6 weeks) it goes up to around 90%. Since I have done 2 sets of 6 and 3 rounds of 3 I am very confident of having kicked BC in the a**. There is still a lot of difference in opinion among uros about how much BCG and whether to even give it at all. Like the others have said make sure you get the results of yor pathology report so that you know exactly how serious your situation is. I have scar tissue on the surface of my bladder from the former tumour sites (6 in all). They now appear as little white star marks during my cysto exams. If you are having a followup cysto, I suggest that you see if you can watch the monitor during the exam because then you cam ask the uro what you are seeing. I’m lucky with my new uro. He explains everything during the exam. It makes you feel like you are watching something not actually getting an exam.
