It’s almost an oxymoron isn’t it? I’m guilty of saying that to my kids and then when they actually did grow up I was still having trouble with that concept. Seriously, reality hit home one day. I was telling one of my kids that he wasn’t big enough to do what he was asking me to allow him to do. He reached over my head (he’s 6Ft tall) to get the bowl out of the cupboard for me and turned to face me, handed me the bowl and said “You mean that I’m not old enough”. I shut up for quite a while.
